In cities like New York and Los Angeles, cupcake bakeries seem as ubiquitous as Starbucks. Thanks to Sara Ross and her Davis Square business, Boston is catching up. Not only did Ross treat Boston to our first such shop, but she sweetended the deal with outside-the-box treats like dollar cupcake shooters (bar shots, only with sugar on your arm and one-gulp cups of vanilla-infused milk), sundae-inspired parfaits, and decadent cream-filled confections that she deep fries and drizzles with chocolate syrup.
